Football Fans Respond To Patriots-WBZ Toy Drive

FOXBORO (CBS) -- On the field Sunday, the New England Patriots gave their fans a win over the Los Angeles Rams.

But, before the game, those same fans delivered a winning holiday season for a bunch of needy children.

Hundreds donated to the annual holiday toy drive, sponsored by the Patriots and WBZ-TV.

WBZ news co-anchors Lisa Hughes and David Wade were on hand to help out, thanking folks and posing for pictures -- as fans dropped unwrapped toys into bins outside the entry gates at Gillette Stadium.

The toys will be delivered to kids in need by Patriot players at upcoming charitable events.

Fans who donated got a discount coupon for the Patriots Pro Shop. The Pats and WBZ-TV will be collecting toys through December 9th.
