Patriots-Rams Week 13 News, Notes & Fun Facts

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots host the 4-7 Rams on Sunday, looking for their third straight victory.

Here's all you need to know heading into Sunday's matchup:

- The 9-2 Patriots have already secured their 16th straight winning season, but a win on Sunday will give them their 14th straight 10-win season. The Pats have 31 winning seasons since the 1970 merger.

- Since 2001, the Pats are 54-10 in the month of December.

- This is the 13th meeting between the Pats and the Rams franchise, with New England holding a 7-5 series edge. The last time the two teams played was in 2012 when the Pats beat the St. Louis Rams 45-7 in London.

- With a win, Tom Brady will become the winningest quarterback in NFL history with 201 career victories (including playoffs). Brady has 178 victories in the regular season and 22 postseason wins.

- Brady is 2-1 in his career against the Rams in the regular season, averaging 241 yards per game with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. You don't need me to tell you he is 1-0 against the Rams in postseason action.

- With 286 passing yards against the Jets last Sunday, Brady became just the fifth player to reach 60,000 passing yards for their career (60,229).

- Brady is one of just 11 players in NFL history to average over 250 yards per game.

- Brady has passed for 300 yards 75 times in his career.

- Patriots receiver Chris Hogan has already hit a career-high in receiving yards with 461 on the season.

- Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has 163 regular season losses to his name, the second-most by a head coach in league history. He's not far behind Dan Reeves, who holds the record with 165 losses.

- The Rams average just 295 yards per game on offense (31st in the NFL) and 15.5 points per game (32nd).

- In the first two games of his NFL career, Los Angeles rookie quarterback Jared Goff has completed 37 of his 63 passes (58.7 percent) for 348 yards and three touchdowns.

- Former New England first-round pick Dominique Easley, released by the team in April, will be trying to sack Brady come Sunday afternoon. The defensive lineman has 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Rams this season.

- Patriots receiver Danny Amendola and defensive end Chris Long both began their career with the Rams. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels served the same role for the Rams in 2011 before returning to New England.
