NightSide - A Non-Citizen's Arrest

BOSTON (CBS) - The Denver Sheriff Department is being forced to pay a fine for violating the Immigration and Nationality Act during a year-long hiring spree from early 2015 to March 2016. During that time, 200 deputies were added to the staff. So what's the problem? The Denver Sheriff Department made U.S. citizenship a requirement of the job. Applicants who are in the country legally and hold work visas were not considered. The Sheriff Department has agreed to pay the fine, but do you think the Department of Justice is right to enforce this law? Should there be an exception made that requires law enforcement positions to be given to U.S. citizens only?
