Tom Brady Jokes About DeflateGate In New Foot Locker Commercial [VIDEO]

BOSTON (CBS) -- If you ever choose to reflect on the saga of DeflateGate, it's best to just laugh at the absurdity of it all. Tom Brady certainly is.

A new ad premiered on Wednesday for Foot Locker's "Week of Greatness" promotion, which features a slew of new shoe releases. The video features Brady coming out of nowhere to call out two guys who question the accomplishments of ... Foot Locker's Week of Greatness.

"Just because something is great year after year doesn't mean anything is going on. Why can't some things just be great? It starts with questions, and then questions turn into assumptions, and then assumptions turn into vacations. So why would you punish the Week of Greatness for something that never even happened?'"

Foot Locker wrote the ad for Brady and said the quarterback was "all-in" for the promotion, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.

"We like our spots to allow athletes to poke fun at themselves, and people enjoy that," said Foot Locker's vice president of brand marketing Jed Berger. "Our fans and customers like to see these athletes as humans. I don't think anyone has seen Tom Brady like they see him in this spot."

Patriots' Matthew Slater Reacts To Brady's New Commercial:

You may want to just forget DeflateGate ever happened, and that's fair. But if Brady can poke fun at himself and laugh about it, anyone can.
