TD Garden Organist Ron Poster Recovering From Triple Bypass Surgery
BOSTON (CBS) – The Bruins and Celtics will be without a TD Garden regular for the near future as organist Ron Poster recovers following triple bypass surgery.
Poster has served as TD Garden's "official organist" since 2001.
According to an online fundraising page, Poster underwent triple bypass surgery at the beginning of the month and was hospitalized for two weeks before returning home.
As a result, Poster will be unable to work at upcoming games.
So far, over $1,000 has been raised for Poster as he recovers from the open-heart surgery.
In addition to his TD Garden duties, Poster is also a regular musician at the Museum of Fine Arts and other locations around the city.
