Police: Man Offered Child Candy In Suspicious Concord Incident

CONCORD (CBS) -- A man approached a child on Thursday afternoon, offering him candy and snapping pictures as the child walked away, police said.

Concord Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspicious man who offered an elementary school boy candy from his car around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The white male in question is approximately 35 to 40-years-old, was wearing jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident, had a slight beard, a stocky build and stands around 6-feet-tall.

Police say the man approached the child in a newer model white four-door sedan and told the child he had candy. The child continued walking past the car, and as he entered his home, looked back to notice the man outside his car apparently taking pictures.

Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact the Concord Police Department at 978-318-3400. The man allegedly involved in the incident is wanted for questioning.
