Harvard Soccer Team Made Lewd 'Scouting Report' Of Women In 2012, Report Says

CAMBRIDGE (CBS/AP) — Harvard University is condemning a sexually explicit document that was circulated among its 2012 men's soccer team that rated the attractiveness of and made lewd references about members of the women's soccer team.

Details of it surfaced this week in the school's student newspaper, The Harvard Crimson. The paper reports that men called the nine-page document their "scouting report." It included photos and sexual comments about individual recruits to the women's team.

"She seems to be very strong, tall and manly so, I gave her a 3 because I felt bad. Not much needs to be said on this one folks," one comment reads, according to The Crimson.

The document was shared among the men's team on a website that could be accessed by the public until recently. The author refers to a similar report the year before.

Harvard Athletics Director Bob Scalise says he's deeply upset by the "totally inappropriate" remarks, adding that his department has zero tolerance for that kind of behavior.

"It's very disappointing and disturbing that people are doing this," he said. "Any time a member of our community says things about other people who are in our community that are disparaging, it takes away from the potential for creating the kind of learning environment that we'd like to have here at Harvard."
