BOSTON (CBS) — One Gronkowski is enough for the New England Patriots.
The Patriots have reportedly cut Glenn Gronkowski, the younger brother of tight end Rob Gronkowski, from the practice squad. The move was first reported by NESN, and then later confirmed by ESPN’s Field Yates.
The younger Gronkowski was signed to the New England practice squad 12 days ago, but was not spotted at Wednesday’s practice. Gronkowski, a fullback, signed with the Buffalo Bills last April after going undrafted out of Kansas State and played in their season opener, but was waived the next day.
Gronkowski was let go to make way for wide receiver Shaquelle Evans on the practice squad.
