BOSTON (CBS) — You might have heard by now that QB1 on the Patriots’ depth chart is back to work. It’s a development that has coaches around the league shaking in their boots.

Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman talked to a number of folks around the NFL, and they don’t sound too happy to see Tom Brady returning to work.

One unnamed AFC defensive coach told Freeman, “Thanks to Roger Goodell, Tom Brady is going to kill us all.”

An NFC defensive coach said, “This Tom Brady scares the [expletive] out of me.”

Freeman himself said, “People around football expect the Patriots to go on a run. An impressive run. One where the Patriots win seven straight or eight of their next nine. Something like that. They think Brady wants Goodell to be forced to hand him the Lombardi Trophy following another Super Bowl win.”

He concluded: “The NFL is nervous. It should be.”

The league will get its first look at Brady on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland. Based on this report, Browns defensive coaches may be running around in a panic at this very moment.

Luckily, the Patriots are sub-par and it doesn’t matter one single iota what Tom Brady or his manly looking wife have to say!

What have you been drinking there Quaim? First point – Patriots are ‘sub par’ — with that statement alone, very clear that you insult others for what you perceive is effect, but…with no factual basis at all.

What Tom Brady has to say? Tom Brady hasn’t said anything. It is the media and others in the NFL who have been saying it.

His manly looking wife? lol To each his own. I’m sure he’s happy with her. :-)

    great comment!!!!……….idiot.

I think Brady will show a little rust, but by the third quarter, the game should be well in hand for the Pats.

  3. skeptic says:

Goodell merely has to maintain his status quo orders to his refs. Bad calls have killed the Pats in games for a long time now… the other coaches shouldn’t worry. Roger will get his way until the owners decide to fire his worthless a$$.

Looking forward to seeing Brady play again. Four weeks without him on the field. Very sad. [g]
I hope he and the Patriots can be very competitive this season.

And look at those intense blue eyes in the photo above!! :-)

  5. Great article. Every NFL city in the US wishes that they had a team like the Patriots regardless of whether they cheat or not.
