Woman Trapped In Vehicle After Three-Car Crash In Roxbury

ROXBURY (CBS) -- A Monday morning crash left three cars damaged and a woman trapped in her car, according to Boston Police.

The crash happened around 8:22 a.m. Monday at Blue Hill Avenue and Moreland Street in Roxbury, just as the morning rush was wrapping up.

Witnesses said a man was being chased by police when he crashed into two other cars and then fled on foot down Moreland Street.

A police cruiser was inside the crime scene tape, but police haven't said whether or not it was a chase or if they had a suspect in custody.

Witnesses told WBZ-TV that a woman and baby were in a silver Nissan Altima, which appeared to be the most damaged from the crash.

Police said they responded to a report of a woman trapped inside a car.

It wasn't yet clear if anyone was injured.

The intersection has since been reopened.
