Patriots-Bills Thursday Practice Report: Garoppolo, Brissett Limited

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots already had a quarterback situation shrouded in uncertainty. Thursday's practice report did nothing to make it any more certain.

Both Jimmy Garoppolo (right shoulder) and Jacoby Brissett (right thumb) were limited participants in Thursday's Patriots practice at Gillette Stadium as both continue to recover from injuries sustained in the past two games. Garoppolo was previously seen throwing the ball as part of Wednesday's practice.

Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) and Dont'a Hightower (knee) were also limited participants in practice, along with Marcus Cannon (calf), Jonathan Cooper (foot), Jonathan Freeny (shoulder), and Eric Rowe (ankle). The Patriots had 100 percent attendance on both Wednesday and Thursday.

On the Buffalo Bills' side, wide receiver Sammy Watkins (foot) did not participate for the second straight day. Tight end Charles Clay (knee), cornerback Ronald Darby (hamstring), and left tackle Cordy Glenn (ankle) were among the notable players who were limited participants.

Game statuses for both teams are expected Friday afternoon after their final walkthroughs.
