The law books need to be changed NOW. The days of 16 & 17 yr. olds facing criminal charges as “juveniles,” and not being named is ludicrous. This 17 yr. old stole a vehicle and is responsible for injuries. (one of those with critical injuries. $10,000 bail could have been $50K. We know the court appointed lawyer will plead the perp as “not guilty.” Other vehicles were damaged, and their owners shouldn’t have to go through their insurance because some fool thought crime would be cool. This was not a defensible act counselor.
