NightSide - Should Charlotte Police Release The Video?

BOSTON (CBS) - Last night brought more violence and destruction to Charlotte, North Carolina, as protests over the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott continue to ravage the city. Despite two very different versions of the incident being presented by law enforcement and witnesses, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said today that the public should not expect to see the video of the shooting any time soon, if ever. Do you think the public has a right to see the video? Does the victim's family have a right to see it? Could some of the violence have been prevented if the video had been released sooner?

Originally broadcast September 22nd, 2016.
