Transit police want to get the word out that no, Adele will not be serenading T riders at the Quincy Center MBTA station.

Indeed, there is a Facebook event that claims the world-famous singer will be performing Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the T stop with special guest Train. So far, 631, people say they are interested in attending.

Adele will be at the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday and Thursday night, but no other performances in the area have been announced.

Transit police say they're trying to avoid a possible public safety issue in Quincy.

"Adele is NOT doing an impromptu performance at Quincy T station. Do not show up for Adele," police tweeted.
