Patriots Practice Report: Gronkowski Limited With Hamstring Injury

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was limited in Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury and is still not 100 percent healthy.

Gronkowski is "still feeling the effects of when he pulled up and took himself out of practice on Aug. 15," according to a report by ESPN's Mike Reiss. Gronk apparently injured his hamstring attempting to catch a pass from Tom Brady down the sideline during a joint practice with the Chicago Bears.

Also limited in Wednesday's Patriots practice were linebacker Shea McClellin (shoulder), offensive linemen Nate Solder (hamstring), Jonathan Cooper (foot) and Shaq Mason (hand), wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (elbow), and defensive end Trey Flowers (shoulder). Wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder) was listed as a full participant, while Danny Amendola was not listed anywhere on the report after being on the PUP list all preseason.

Expect a "Questionable" tag for Gronkowski with the new setup for NFL injury reports, which no longer include "Probable." His injury doesn't appear to be anything too serious, but hamstring injuries are the kind that can linger for a long time and slow players down on the field.

The first full injury report of the Patriots season comes out Friday.
