Teen On Cellphone Crashes Into Utility Pole, Hingham Police Say

HINGHAM (CBS) – A 17-year-old on his phone hit a utility pole in Hingham over the weekend, according to police.

Authorities said the teen was dialing a phone number while driving on Elm Street Saturday evening when the crash happened. In Massachusetts, anyone under 18 is not allowed to use a phone while driving.

No one was injured in the crash.

The teenager was cited by police, and the penalty includes a mandatory license suspension.
