Framingham State Police Officer Accused Of Inappropriate Conduct Arrested, Placed On Leave

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) -- A Framingham State University police officer accused of inappropriate conduct over the weekend was arrested and placed on leave from the school, university officials said in a statement.

Wilter Dormevil was charged with open and gross lewdness, wanton and lascivious conduct, and witness intimidation, Framingham Police said.

The university said in a statement that FSU police were notified of the unspecified inappropriate conduct around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and that Dormevil was immediately relieved of his duties.

They said he is banned from the FSU campus as authorities investigate.

"Framingham State University  regard the safety of our students, faculty and staff as paramount in our duty to the University community and we will continue to hold our officers' conduct to the highest standards," the university said in a statement. "The situation was isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the University."

The Framingham Police Department was brought in as an independent investigator and is also taking part in the investigation.
