Man Caught On Surveillance Video Stealing Tips From NH Diner

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (CBS) – A surveillance camera captured a clear image of a man suspected of stealing a handful of cash from a New Hampshire diner’s tip jar.

Portsmouth Police released surveillance video that shows a man at the counter of Gilley’s PM Lunch on Fleet Street.

In the video, which is from Aug. 28 around 10:15 p.m., the man can be seen receiving his food at the counter.

Then, as the employee looks away, the suspect reaches into the jar and grabs a wad of cash.

Police said later on Saturday that they believe they have identified the culprit.

Yeah, this is a despicable act. But is this petty crime really newsworthy (especially on a Boston channel 50 miles from the scene)?

Hope they catch the guy (looks like it should be really easy), but I’m sure there were at least a dozen worse crimes in Portsmouth yesterday.

And I may be wrong, but he doesn’t look like what the “law and order” types would call the stereotypical criminal. I’m sure that he won’t get himself accidentally shot by the cops when he is apprehended.

Hey punk, you can put lipstick on a pit & it’s still a pig. So, you have a tie on – big deal. Stealing is stealing. May Karma catch up with you with interest, for stealing from a tip jar intended to reward hard working, honest people. Your lawyer & family can spare us the usual jive about you being a good boy, or needing a “program,” or trying to use excuses/attempts for sympathy as employed with the Stanford rapist. Too bad stocks & pillory no longer is utilized on village commons.

Deserved public shaming coming soon to this loser.

We need to stop letting stupid fat crackas into the country. Deport these criminals!
