Man Backs Over, Kills Wife In Driveway Of Quincy Home

QUINCY (CBS) -- A 54-year-old man backed over his wife in their driveway killing her.

Police responded to the home on Phillips Street in Quincy around 2:30pm on Friday.

"I walked down the street and I saw a white sheet in front of the vehicle where the headlights are, so I was assuming maybe there was something or someone," a neighbor told WBZ-TV. "The stretcher was gone and I saw the helicopters."

According to police, the man was taken to the hospital to be treated for distress. No charges have been filed.

Family members were seen outside the home as Quincy police and detectives examined the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
