Jimmy Stewart Chats With Local Wrestlers Matt Taven, 'The Miracle' Michael Bennett, TK O'Ryan

BOSTON (CBS) -- Local wrestler Matt Taven joined Felger and Mazz executive producer James Stewart to talk about an upcoming Northeast Wrestling show in Pittsfield, Mass.

Matt gave us an update on his knee injury and what he's doing for Ring of Honor wrestling and Northeast Wrestling while rehabbing from his injury. Matt also gives his return date and what company he'll be making his return with.

"The Miracle" Michael Bennett called in on the Matt Taven expert hotline and spoke about being on the list of opponents that Cody Rhodes wanted to work with. He also discussed what he's been doing since he left Ring of Honor Wrestling, on his usage of Twitter and how he shares his political views on social media. He talks about his experience with TNA wrestling and how Billy Corgan is the greatest boss ever.

TK O'Ryan was a baseball star at Holy Cross who, in his own words, said he failed at baseball. He compares independent baseball to pro wrestling and talks about his transition from baseball player to pro wrestler. He tells some interesting stories about what independent baseball promoters would do to draw in fans.

Matt and James close out the podcast by talking about fans who are vocal during wrestling events. Are they right or wrong? Do they go too far? Matt shares a very personal story about a fan who went too far. And of course, Matt and James have thoughts on the Celtics, their offseason and what the upcoming season might look like for the green team.

Wrestling Under the Stars is presented by Northeast Wrestling this Friday at 7 p.m. in Pittsfield, with the Meet and Greet with Cody Rhodes, Jerry "The King" Lawer, Mick Foley and others. You can pre-order tickets for the show and meet and greets at NortheastWrestling.com.
