Investigators Receive Nearly 900 Tips On Murdered Princeton Jogger

PRINCETON (CBS) – No arrests have been made nearly two weeks after Vanessa Marcotte was murdered while jogging in Princeton, but investigators have received nearly 900 tips from the public.

The body of 27-year-old Marcotte, an account manager at Google in New York City, was found August 7 in the woods off of Brooks Station Road.

Marcotte had been reported missing earlier in the day after she failed to return from a run near her mother's home. Sources told WBZ-TV Marcotte was naked and burned when police found her.

District Attorney Joseph Early said in the days following the murder that Marcotte likely left her attacker with scrapes and bruises as she attempted to fight him off.

On Friday, Massachusetts State Police said they have received close to 890 tips on the case, but none have led to the arrest of Marcotte's killer.
