Woman Injured In Hit & Run At Patriot Place

FOXBORO (CBS) - A slow shuffle is as fast as Shelby Bradley can move.

"It happened really fast, but I knew I was hit by a car," said Bradley.

What really hurts the 21-year-old is that driver stopped, looked at her and drove off. Bradley said the woman driver said she would be back, but never returned.

Bradley was walking from her car in section 23 of the parking lot at Patriot Place. It was around six o'clock Tuesday evening.

Using her hands, she showed what happened. "She turns this way, turns left and hits me," said Bradley. She called a friend who called 911.

"Struck by a vehicle which is no longer on scene," a dispatcher said to an officer in the radio call. "They are reporting one side of her face is swollen and an eye is swollen shut."

Paramedics rushed her to the hospital. Photos show her swollen face and black eye. Her left femur is bruised and the left side of her body is sore.

When she was hit, she was taking her dinner break from her job helping patients at the nearby rehab facility.

Now, she needs some help too, overcoming the anger that a driver left her injured on the ground.

"It does now, it would be nice if she came forward," said Bradley.

Police are looking at surveillance video.

The driver is described as a middle-aged woman with blonde hair. She was driving a white SUV.
