Wednesday's Child Success Story: Devin & Joe

Three years ago, Devin was featured on Wednesday's Child with Jack Williams. Joe was watching that day, and ended up adopting Devin.

"I just wanted a family to love and who will always be there for me," Devin said. And he found that forever home with Joe and his other adopted children.

"If you think that you have it in you to look at this as a way to expand your family, you owe yourself the opportunity to really check it out," Joe said.

Since its inception in 1981, Wednesday's Child has been a collaboration of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), the Department of Children & Families and WBZ-TV/CBS Boston. Hosted by Jack Williams for the last 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and voice to the children who wait the longest for families. Wednesday's Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness about adoption from foster care.
