Mansfield Police: Don't Use Makeshift Toilets At Jimmy Buffett Concert

MANSFIELD (CBS) -- It's a stinky subject, but the Mansfield Police Department is warning Jimmy Buffett fans gearing up for the singer's Saturday concert at the Xfinity Center that makeshift toilets won't be tolerated.

The department posted the warning on their Facebook page Sunday, along with photos of several examples of bucket toilets they said are not permitted in the parking lot outside the venue.

Since the lot opens at 11 a.m., police said, some fans will be out in the sun all day, eating and drinking--in their words, "you're gonna need to GO."

Calling all Parrotheads! Here at MPD, we always look forward to the annual arrival of Jimmy Buffett and the Coral...

"Fortunately, the folks at Live Nation New England have supplied the parking lots with an abundance of actual, health-code-compliant toilets that aren't attached to the bumper of a pickup truck," the post read. "We want to get the word out early this year that the "tent toilets" will not be permitted (or tolerated)."

The department asked that the public circulate the warning to those attending the concert this weekend.

"We know, we know....no one likes to poo in a Porta-Loo," the post reads. "But think of it as an experience to build character. Like showering at camp with a family of spiders."
