Pulse Nightclub Victim From Mass. Takes First Steps Since Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) – A Framingham native who was seriously injured during a massacre inside an Orlando gay nightclub took his first unassisted steps since the June shooting.

Angel Colon played dead after being shot several times inside Pulse Nightclub on June 12.

On Friday Colon posted a video on Facebook showing him taking several unassisted steps.

In Colon's post, which has been shared nearly 500 times, he says it is the first time he has taken steps on his own since he was shot.

Shooter Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 others during the shooting before he was killed by police.

An online fundraising page setup to help pay for Colon's recovery has raised more than $17,000.
