Police: Drunk Man Flees 2 Crashes, Buys Coffee

MERRIMACK, NH (CBS) - There was an unusual order at the Dunkin Donuts drive thru in Merrimack, N.H. on Thursday evening.

Police say 32-year-old Steven Detweiler from Manchester, N.H. ordered coffee before he was placed under arrest for drunk driving and hit and run.

Detweiler allegedly struck two cars on DW Highway and fled both scenes.

He was spotted at the Dunkin Donuts by an officer who allowed him to complete his order before arresting him.

Detweiler was placed on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in court on August 23.
