When To Watch Patriots' Nate Ebner And Team U.S.A. In Olympic Rugby Sevens

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots safety Nate Ebner is about to realize his dream of playing rugby for Team U.S.A. in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Even if you know nothing about rugby, catching Ebner in action for the U.S. Men's Rugby Sevens squad is a must-see for Patriots fans. And outside of the rugby world, Ebner is perhaps the most well-known name on the team due to his NFL career.

Team U.S.A. enters the Rio Olympics in Group A, along with Argentina, Brazil, and Fiji. The group will play their preliminary matchups against each other starting on Tuesday, August 9.

Here's the preliminary men's rugby sevens schedule for Team U.S.A. All times are in eastern standard time ...

U.S. vs. Argentina: Tuesday, August 9 at 12:00 p.m.
U.S. vs. Brazil: Tuesday, August 9 at 5 p.m.
U.S. vs. Fiji: Wednesday, August 10 at 12:30 p.m.

After 12 teams get knocked down to eight, the quarterfinals will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, followed by the semifinal starting on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The gold medal matchup takes place on Thursday at 6 p.m., while the bronze medal match happens at 5:30 p.m.

All matches will be live-streamed on NBC's Olympics website starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and again on Thursday at 10 a.m. Hopefully, Ebner and Team U.S.A. are still alive when it comes time to play for the medals.
