Kevin Faulk Believes Tom Brady Will Work Out With Randy Moss, Wes Welker During Suspension

BOSTON (CBS) -- Soon-to-be Patriots Hall of Famer Kevin Faulk has no idea how Tom Brady will mentally get through his upcoming four-game suspension. But Faulk has an idea how Brady will keep up to speed physically.

In an interview with Larry Ridley on NESN, Faulk was asked if the quarterback might make a few phone calls to former pals Wes Welker and Randy Moss to see if they're up for some route-running while Brady serves his suspension.

"Oh, he's definitely going to work. There's no doubt in my mind. He'll probably do the same regimen that he's been doing for the last however many years he's been playing football, stay in that routine," Faulk said. "And yes, I'm almost positive Wes Welker's going to be here. He probably will reach out to Randy, and Randy will come, because Randy's still in good shape. Real good shape."

Faulk said he's seen how well Moss has stayed in shape firsthand.

"Tried to work out with him a couple of weeks ago in Turks and Caicos," Faulk said, "and it didn't work out too well."

As for his own involvement, Faulk said he'd be willing to help out Brady. But he has his limits.

"Oh yeah, I got two, three plays," he said.

As for the mental part of getting through the suspension, Faulk said his conversations with Brady have purposefully been about topics other than DeflateGate.

"You want to try to comfort, try not to make it pop up in his mind. Because you know it's on his mind," Faulk said. "He's a competitor. He's not going to be there the first four games of the season. I don't know how he's going to do it. Because he's that much of a competitor."
