Increasing Nuts In Diet Could Reduce Risk Of Disease

BOSTON (CBS) - Do you go nuts for nuts? As Dr. Mallika Marshall reports, that may be a good thing.

Incorporating more nuts into your diet could help protect you from disease.

Inflammation is thought to fuel certain conditions like heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital found that eating five or more servings of nuts per week or substituting meat with nuts three times a week was associated with lower levels of proteins in the blood associated with inflammation.
