MASHPEE (CBS) -- The family of a little girl who was hit by a car while crossing Route 130 on her bike is raising money for her long recovery.

Seven-year-old Gabby is still in the ICU at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to a post on the GoFundMe page.

Mashpee Police said she was struck last Wednesday afternoon, and airlifted to Mass. General with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car that hit her was also transported to the hospital with what appeared to be stress related issues due to the accident, police said.

The post said Gabby has a broken femur and pelvis, suffers from internal bleeding, and also had brain bleeding and a traumatic brain injury.

"She is going to have a long road ahead of her so please consider donating to her family to help with the overwhelming medical expenses they will endure," the post read.

As of Tuesday morning, the page had raised over $13,000 of its $20,000 goal.
