Lisa Hughes Co-Hosts 'The Talk' on CBS

BOSTON (CBS) – WBZ-TV's Lisa Hughes returned to co-host "The Talk" on Wednesday.

This was Lisa's fourth time on the daytime talk show as guest co-host. The ladies and audience welcomed her with open arms.

Guests appearing on the show included: actress Julia Stiles, promoting the new Jason Bourne film, Celebrity Page TV host Jaymes Vaughan, sharing the latest celebrity gossip, and lifestyle expert Chi-Lan Lieu, offering the latest summer fashion and skincare tips.

One of the hot topics the ladies discussed was the recent controversy involving a sand sculpture of a mermaid with voluptuous features outside the Salty's Diner in Yarmouth.

"Across the board people [viewers] said: 'my goodness don't we have something else to worry about here?! This is artistic, it's part of a festival and you know… she's eye catching.'" Hughes said.

Also joining Lisa Hughes on her Los Angeles trip was Mary Beth Crowley from Boston.

Crowley was the Boston area winner of "The Talk's Ultimate Fan Anchor Away Contest."

She and a guest won an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles and VIP guest passes to Wednesday's taping.

In her Instagram video Crowley, shares how she works from home to take care of her mom. "We watch the show everyday together."

"It's the way she bonds with her mom." Hughes said to WBZ-TV News.

A total of five different news anchors from CBS stations will sit in on The Talk this week. In addition to Hughes, Kristine Johnson of WCBS, Elizabeth Cook of KPIX, Kaley O'Kelley of KTVT and Ukee Washington of KYW will take turns as guest co-hosts.

The Talk airs weekdays at 2 p.m. live on WBZ-TV, hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. It is produced by CBS.
