Lanaisha is an 11-year-old legally free girl of African American descent. She is outgoing, talkative and makes friends easily. She loves shoes and dolls with long hair. She also loves to sing, color and is very artistic. She also loves to clean and do household chores. She loves to play outdoors, ride her bike, swim and go to the playground.

Presently in a therapeutic classroom grade, Lanaisha can be demanding of attention from her teachers and the other students. She attends therapy weekly to help her address issues around loss, separation and neglect. Lanaisha would do well with an experienced family with a good support network, lots of patience and a family that will not give up on her when she acts out. She is afraid of dogs and cats. The ideal family for Lanaisha could be of any constellation who could help her maintain contact with her younger sister and brother.

Hosted by Jack Williams for the last 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and voice to the children who wait the longest for families. Wednesday's Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness about adoption from foster care.
