Gasoline Down 4 Cents Per Gallon In Massachusetts

BOSTON (AP) — The price of a gallon of gasoline in Massachusetts has dropped 4 cents in the past week.

AAA Northeast reports Tuesday that its weekly price survey found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $2.21 per gallon.

That's 6 cents per gallon lower than the national average and 54 cents lower than the Massachusetts price a year ago.

The price drop is unusual because gas prices typically rise between the Memorial Day and July Fourth holidays.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.07 per gallon and as high as $2.49.
