Tow Truck Driver Accused Of Asking Passengers For Sex Pleads Not Guilty

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) - A tow truck driver accused of trying to solicit sex from women riding in his truck as he towed their cars had nothing to say to reporters Friday.

Mathew Walsh, 37, of Nashua, N.H., pleaded not guilty to two counts of accosting or annoying a person of the opposite sex at his arraignment in Framingham District Court.

State Police said the two separate incidents began on the Massachusetts Turnpike in the Framingham area in "recent weeks" as Walsh picked the women up in his truck.

According to court documents, Walsh allegedly made sexually explicit comments to a woman while towing her car to her house that referenced oral sex and taking off her clothes.

A second victim told police she was riding with Walsh when he "asked her if she was a virgin... and asked her to hook up with him several times."

She also told police Walsh pulled the truck over two different times and told her they could go in the woods where no one would see them.

Walsh was working for Perfection Towing of Watertown at the time of the incidents.  He is no longer with the company.

Perfection Towing has since been removed from the State Police's list of companies that tow cars for them.

Walsh posted $500 bail Thursday night hours after his arrest.  He was let go Friday on the condition that he stay away from his two accusers.

State Police say if anyone had a similar experience they should call them at (617) 946-3060.
