Massachusetts Teen Named Best In Country At PowerPoint

ORLANDO (CBS) – A Massachusetts 17-year-old can say he's better than everyone else in America when it comes to PowerPoint.

William Silva, a student at Bristol Plymouth Technical High School in Raynham has been named the best in the United States at Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 at an Orlando competition.

At the competition, 108 finalists were given a printed copy of a presentation and they had to recreate them.

William beat out more than 300,000 people who entered the competition. He won a $3,000 cash prize, which he said will go toward college.

"I've always loved working with the Office programs," Silva said. "You have to enjoy it, you have to love it."

Now Silva will represent the United States in the world championships in August.
