Danny Amendola 'Feels Really Good' After 'Minor' Surgery In Offseason

BOSTON (CBS) -- After cryptic reports that Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola underwent "minor" surgeries in the offseason that were not long-term concerns, the same news has come from the man himself.

Amendola joined Wendi Nix on ESPN Tuesday to talk about his surgery and preparation for the 2016 season, and his outlook bodes well for his availability and ability to be at full-strength when the season starts.

"I feel really good. I had a couple minor procedures done after the season," said Amendola. "Everybody knows how long the season can be. I wanted to go into next season feeling as fresh and ready as I can."

The minor surgical procedures were reportedly done on Amendola's knee and ankle.

Amendola added that he plans to spend time in California before players are expected to report to Patriots training camp on July 27. Amendola did not participate in Patriots OTAs or minicamp practices.
