Video Shows Dunkin' Donuts Worker Dropping Food, Putting It In Display
MENDON (CBS) – Dunkin' Donuts is responding to a disturbing video posted on Facebook that's going viral.
The person who shared the video says it shows a worker dropping donuts on the floor and then putting them back in the display. The incident allegedly happened at a franchise location in Mendon.
Dunkin' tells WBZ-TV that the video was recorded in November and they are taking the video, which has more than 60,000 views so far, seriously.
Full statement from Dunkin' Donuts:
"We are aware of the video and we take matters like this very seriously. The actions seen in the video at a franchised Dunkin' Donuts restaurant are absolutely inconsistent with our strict food safety standards and requirements. According to the franchisee, upon hearing of this incident in November 2015, he investigated the matter and met with the employee to discuss the fact that the donuts should have been immediately disposed of in keeping with our standards."
