Boston Police Warn Of Fentanyl Disguised As Oxycodone

BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Police are warning that a small blue pill being sold on the street illegally as Oxycodone has actually been found to be the deadly drug Fentanyl.

"This dangerous drug is being sold to buyers who presume the pills, which are accurately formed and marked with the designation A/215, are Oxycodone 30 mg tablets," police said in a post on their blog Wednesday.

Police said anyone who takes the Fentanyl pills puts themselves at risk of a fatal overdose.

The department said they are actively investigating the sale of the pills, and are asking the public for assistance.
