NHL Releases Full Bruins Schedule, Including Rough Stretch To End Season
BOSTON (CBS) -- Just a day after the Boston Bruins announced their home opener, the team has released its full schedule for the 2016-17 regular season. The team will open the season On Thursday, October 13 on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
The Black & Gold will face the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins for the first time on Wednesday, December 14 at the Consol Energy Center. They will also play the Ottawa Senators on Thanksgiving night, November 24.
Although the Bruins play eight of their final ten regular season games at home, their April schedule is brutal. Their final five games are against the Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators, and Washington Capitals - so the team better be in a good position to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs by the end of March if they want to return to the postseason.
