Two Teens Indicted In Fatal Chelsea Apartment Shooting
CHELSEA (CBS) -- Two teens have been indicted in connection with a shooting in a Chelsea apartment in March that left one person dead and six others injured.
A grand jury indicted Emmanuel Marrero, 17, of Lynn, on a first degree murder charge along with assault and weapons charges. Efrain Vega, 16, was indicted on a firearm possession charge related to the incident.
Police responded to reports of gunfire and found multiple people shot in a vacant Washington Ave. apartment on March 6. The victims, all in their late teens and early 20s, were taken to the hospital. One teen, identified as 19-year-old Pablo Villeda, died from his injuries.
Investigators say Marrero was the gunman in the incident. He was taken into custody a day after the shooting. Officials identified Vega later in the investigation.
