Researchers in the United Kingdom have found that high levels of certain antibodies, molecules that fight infection, may protect people against heart disease, even if someone has high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

This finding could lead to a blood test to predict heart disease and could help scientists figure out ways to use the immune system to fight it in the future.
