Cape Cod Woman Buys Scratch Ticket On Way To Gym, Wins $15 Million Prize

BRAINTREE (CBS) – An East Sandwich woman is much richer thanks to a quick stop before hitting the gym on Tuesday.

State lottery officials say Hilary Alma was on her way to work out when she stopped at the Mashpee Country Store. She bought one of the lottery's new $30 "Ultimate Millions" tickets and won $15 million, the largest "scratch and win" prize offered by the state.

Alma has decided to claim her prize in the form of 20 annual payments of $750,000. She said she is looking to put some of the money toward home repairs.

"Ultimate Millions" is one of three $30 scratch ticket games that offers a $15 million top prize. There are still three $15 million prizes and 62 $1 million prizes remaining in the game, which began April 26.
