Mass. DCF Worker Allegedly Pulls Out Gun In Road Rage Incident
STRATHAM, N.H. (CBS)-- A Department of Children and Families worker is facing charges after he allegedly threatened passengers of another vehicle with a loaded gun in a road rage incident in New Hampshire last month.
Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. on Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham on May 21.
Two cars were driving in a part of the road that merges from two lanes to one. Police say a road rage incident ensued and one of the drivers, Marc Beaulieu, 49, of Fremont, New Hampshire, brandished a handgun and threatened the occupants of the other vehicle with it. A child was in Beaulieu's car at the time. Shortly afterwards, a minor accident occurred between the two cars.
Beaulieu is a longtime DCF worker. The agency says it has placed him on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
Beaulieu is charged with reckless conduct and endangering the welfare of a child. He is free on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned July 12.
