Boston Public Schools To Hold Community Meetings On Water Issues

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Public Schools will hold nine community meetings in June about the water issues in schools.

Earlier this year, high lead levels were found in some water fountains, so the water was then tested in all public schools.

"The School Committee felt it was necessary to provide additional in-person opportunities for families to receive information about water access," Boston School Committee Chairman Michael O'Neill said in a statement Tuesday.

Here's the list of community meetings which will be open to the public:

  • Wednesday, June 1, 6 pm, Mather Elementary School 24 Parish Street, Dorchester
  • Wed., June 1, 5 pm, Another Course to College and Boston Green Academy 20 Warren Street, Brighton
  • Thursday, June 2, 5:30 pm, Kenny Elementary School 19 Oakton Avenue, Dorchester
