Tom Brady Wants Matt Damon To Play Him In A Movie

BOSTON (CBS) -- When his playing days are over, there's a good chance we'll all be treated to a Tom Brady movie.

Why not? He was a sixth-round draft pick that went on to win four Super Bowls, is married to one of the world's biggest supermodels, and in case you've lived under a rock for the last 494 days, is in the middle of a nationwide controversy involving air pressure in footballs.

And Brady already knows who he would want to portray him on the big screen: Matt Damon.

"He's a great actor, and he's from Boston, so we've got a few things in common," Brady told Harper's Bazaar in a recent interview.

Damon certainly has the resume to take on such a big role, portraying everything from a Harvard janitor to an astronaut stranded on Mars to a star rugby player. But Brady admits Damon will have to work on his arm if he wants to land the part.

"I've seen him throw a football, though. He definitely needs to work on that," Brady said.

Sounds like Damon may soon receive some free lessons from one of the best quarterbacks of all time.

Brady said if he wasn't an athlete, he'd be "that James Bond character" he recently portrayed in a Beautyrest commercial. Maybe Brady can talk to Damon, who has played a super spy in the Jason Bourne series, about a new career when they meet about the quarterback's biopic (or during those throwing lessons).
