Is Your Fitbit Really Accurate?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) – Are Fitbit trackers incorrectly measuring your heart rate?

A new study suggest that some of the PurePulse heart rate monitors are "highly inaccurate."

Researchers at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, say the devices could be off by as much as 20 beats per minute during intense workouts.

Fitbit was sued earlier this year by users who say their health was jeopardized by Fitbit's inaccuracies. This new study was commissioned by a law firm behind the class action lawsuit against Fitbit.

Fitbit is calling the latest study biased and baseless.
