4-Year-Old Found Dead In Maine Pond

ST. ALBANS, Maine (CBS) -- A 4-year-old boy was found dead in a farm pond near his Maine home Sunday afternoon.

The Maine Warden Service responded to reports of a boy who had gone missing from his St. Albans home. A search led authorities to a farm pond next door on property owned by the boy's uncle.

Divers recovered the boy's body under water shortly before 7p.m. The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for further examination.

The victim's name has not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
