Missing Leicester Cows Located

LEICESTER (CBS) - Police searched for a pair of missing farm animals until the cows came home. Fortunately, the cows did just that.

Leicester Police said Saturday afternoon they were looking for the public's help locating a pair of cows that went missing from a farm in town.

The cows' owner was concerned the white face heifers may have been intentionally released or taken from their fenced-in property, according to the Leicester Police Facebook account.

But Saturday night, the cows were safely located wandering near where they were reported missing. No foul play is suspected.

The cows were described as a 650-pound male steer and an 800-pound female.
