Report: Darrelle Revis Fires Agents

BOSTON (CBS) -- Throughout his nine-year career, Darrelle Revis has established himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL as well as someone who never settles for anything but top dollar on his contracts.

So, when Revis parts ways with his agents, it's big news, and that's what's reportedly happened this week.

According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, the 30-year-old Revis ended his business relationship with Neil Schwartz and Jonathan Feinsod, who have represented Revis for his entire career.

That's a career that has included a holdout from the Jets prior to his rookie season in 2007, another holdout in the summer of 2010, a record-setting contract with the Buccaneers in 2013, a unique contract with the Patriots in 2014, and another huge-money contract with the Jets in 2015.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio noted that the timing of the firing came after Josh Norman signed a record-setting contract for cornerbacks, which could be related to the news or could be irrelevant.

The only comment on the record thus far has come from Schwartz, to both Cimini and Florio: "Jonathan and I wish him the best of luck."
