L.A. Rams Sign Former Patriots First Round Pick Dominique Easley

BOSTON (CBS) -- Former New England Patriots first-round pick Dominique Easley has found a new home. The defensive tackle signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Easley worked out for the Rams on Tuesday and previously worked out with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Patriots waived the 2014 29th overall pick, which came as somewhat of a surprise - until the negative stories came out. Easley reportedly had several issues with his attitude in the locker room, particularly when it came to his working relationship with the training staff and recovery from injuries. Easley played in just 10 games in the 2015 season before the team placed him on injured reserve with a thigh injury.

Former Patriots draft picks have seldom succeeded with new teams after being jettisoned from New England. Easley showed flashes of his first-round talent during his time with the Pats, so it will be interesting to see if he can reach his full potential - and stay healthy - in Los Angeles.

Easley started just three games in two seasons with the Patriots, recording three sacks and 15 tackles in 22 career games.
